Lottie N. Jones

Jones, Lottie Nora “Tot”, age 93 of Birmingham, AL our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She jokingly would recite her name “Henrietta Etheline Sweet Potato Clementine Sara Ethel Jane Whitfield Lottie Nora Glass Jones”, and was a joy to know and love. Tot Jones was a dignified, graceful Christian lady who led all her children to the Lord. She always said it was her wish that her children would stay close and love one another. She was famous for her beef roast, her Easter Egg Hunts, her trunk of dress up clothes, her 2 story decorated Christmas celebrations that all flowed from her loving heart for all her friends and family. She was a charter member of Hilldale Baptist Church in Center Point and one of the founding family members of Grantswood Baptist Church where she will be buried. She was preceded in death by her beloved William Oscar “Deacon” Jones; son, William Edward Jones; parents, Jesse and Adelia Cambron Glass and her 10 older brothers and sisters all from Irondale, AL. “Tot” is survived by her 3 children; 1 daughter, Nora Diane Jones Gray LaClair and fiancé Randy Williams of Panama City, FL; sons, Donald Lane Jones and his wife Mary of Cullman, AL and grandsons, Kyle and Kaide, Tot’s “Little Red Heads”; and son, Paul Leslie Jones and his wife Christy of Guntersville, AL; 12 beloved grandchildren, Eddie, Krista, Suzanne and Jeremy Jones, Neil, Deacon, and Kristopher Gray, Morgan and Lindsay Jones, Brittany, Jordan and Grayson Jones; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild , a host of step grandchildren, loving nieces and nephews, many dear friends and her excellent and loving staff of caregivers at Hanceville Nursing Center. Visitation will be Friday, December 7, 2012 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Grantswood Baptist Church Cemetery.
