Laura Beth graduated from Vestavia High School and Birmingham-Southern College. She was also employed in the corporate office of BBVA Compass.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Bowman “Jim” Monroe. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Eugene Mastin “Gene” Gill; her daughters, Caroline Oakley and and Campbell Meredith; mother, Terrie Weinstein Monroe; mother-in-law, Marilyn Oakley Gill; sister, Meredith Monroe Kitey (Alan); nephew, Harry James Kitey; and niece, Sadie Morgan Kitey.
The family wishes to thank Dr. James Cantrell, the nursing and support staff in the oncology department of St. Vincent’s Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Temple Emanu-El, with Rabbi Miller officiating. The burial will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Laura Beth Gill Memorial Fund at BBVA Compass or to the LUNGevity Foundation.
