Both Jim and Daryl retired from Alabama Power after many years of faithful service. Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter but the love of his life was his wife, Daryl, and his family and friends. He loved to travel and help others.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 on Friday, May 11th at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham officiated by Dr. David Thomas.
Jim was survived by his loving wife, Daryl, of nearly 50 years. Additional survivors are:
Jan Newman Pitts & Cindy and Todd Manning (daughter and granddaughter/grandson) and Brenda Pitts (sister), Gina & Sammy Kato and Jarred (sister, brother-in-law and nephew), Rik & Dee Lazenby and Riki Renea Patton, Jennifer Blanton, and Natalie Carlisle (brother-in-law and sister-in-law and nieces) and Gina & Robert Grantham and Kristopher Lindsey, Zachary Lindsey, Jessica Lindsey Holbein, Mollie Lindsey Helf, Benjamin Lindsey, Aaron Grantham Lynch, Amanda Grantham Sekulow, and Austin Grantham (sister-in-law and brother-in-law and nephews and nieces)
Jim passed away from Alzheimer's Disease and contributions are dearly appreciated after this lengthy, debilitating disease and all acts of kindness for my precious sister will be treasured. .
