James Ranson (Jim) Talmadge passed away on September 15, 2017, in Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 64.Jim was born August 24, 1953, in Fairfield, Alabama to Ralph W. and Helen R. Talmadge.
Jim will be remembered for his generous soul, quick wit, and love for his dogs. He was a graduate of Auburn University and he loved his Auburn Tigers.
He is survived by his brother, R. Wilson Talmadge (Eleanor); nephew, Steve Talmadge; great-niece, Filly Talmadge; niece, Tracie Talmadge; and his sister, Lynn Talmadge Fabian (Ed).
Funeral services will be Friday, September 22, 2017, at 12:00 noon at Elmwood Chapel with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery following the service.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Jim’s honor to The Greater Birmingham Humane Society, 300 Snow Drive, Birmingham, Alabama 35209 www.gbhs.org
