Horace Alan Moore, son of Horace Oliver Moore, Jr and Joyca June Wilkins, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday June 22. Alan was a firefighter for the City of Birmingham retiring in 1999. He was a music lover and enjoyed playing his bass guitar with many friends and local musicians. His Love of God led him to help many people and form friendships along with rescue abandoned animals in need of a happy home and warm, loving heart. He leaves his sister, Cindy Moore Breckenridge and many friends to miss him. A celebration of Alan’s life will be held Friday June 27th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 5:30-7 with a memorial service beginning at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice or any charity that helps animals.
