Dorothy “Dot” Owen Morrow, 86, passed away on June 5, 2024. She was born on August 1, 1937. Dot was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated from Ensley High School, where she was the head majorette. She married her husband, Gene on September 5, 1956. They shared 68 years of marriage before her passing. They lived in Montgomery, Alabama for the last 19 years.
She and Gene raised two daughters, Kelly Taunton (Bobby), and Kristy Morrow. They have four grandchildren and 5 great -grandchildren.
Dot was involved in various ministries, which included a prison ministry. She was the president of Women’s Aglow Fellowship of Alabama. She traveled around the state teaching the Word and bringing many to Jesus. Dot had an endearing personality and loved to laugh and make others laugh with her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11 am at Elmwood Cemetery.
