Dennis Ray Bullock

Dennis Ray Bullock passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in the arms of his loving wife of 51 years, Karen Sue Bullock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Margaret Bullock of Birmingham, AL and his brother, Lynn Allen Smith of Bath, NC. He is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Bullock, mother-in-law, Martha Rutledge, brother-in-law, Joe Rutledge and nieces, Kimberly Ann Swink (Darrell Swink) of Denver, CO, Amy Leigh Rutledge (Gregg Nevill) of Rancho Cucomongo, CA, and nephew, William Thomas Rutledge. He also had many great nieces, including Sonya Swink, Laura Swink, Becky Swink, Abby Nevill and Grace Nevill.

Dennis was born April 11, 1948 and was raised in the town of "New Merkle" Alabama which later became Cahaba Heights/Vestavia Alabama. He graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1966. He married the love of his life in 1968 to with whom he would share the entire remainder of his life. He was retired from Bell South after 30 years of service in many departments. He was extremely proud of his education graduating from Jefferson State Junior College with an Associates Degree, the University of Alabama in Birmingham with his BA Degree and Birmingham School of Law with his Juris Doctorate. He was a member of the Alabama State Bar Association. He will be greatly missed to the moon and back!

As per his wishes, there will be no formal Funeral Service. His ashes will be interred at Cahaba Heights Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at his home for family and friends between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019.
