Dan Gordon Trawick IV

Dan "Brother" G. Trawick IV, age 60, passed away at his home in Birmingham, Alabama on May 16, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Dan G. Trawick III and his mother, Edwynna Simpson Trawick. Dan is survived by his two sons, Dan G. Trawick V "Danny" (Mary Caitlin) and Tony Trawick; grandson, Dan "Ladd" Trawick VI; sister, Ginny Farley (Joe); sister, Vista Nelson (Eric); and his nieces and nephews, Mac Farley, Virginia Farley, Alexander Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Erica Nelson, Nicholas Nelson and his 8-year old chocolate lab, Ruby.

Dan graduated in 1978 from Mountain Brook High School and went on to attend Troy University prior to joining the family's construction businesses: Trawick Contractors, Inc. and Pearce-Trawick HVAC Service.

Dan had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and football (Roll Tide). His most favorite pastime, just like his father, was hosting barbecues for family and friends. Dan was witty, caring, loyal and generous. He was very family oriented and would do anything for his children. Dan can now finally rest and be at peace. He will truly be missed by his family and friends in the Birmingham community.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 10:00am at Elmwood Cemetery located at 600 Martin Luther King Dr. Birmingham, Alabama 35211. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
