Colonel E. Martin, Jr, 78, of Alabaster, Alabama, passed away on February 25, 2024, He was born on March 11, 1945, in Birmingham, AL. Colonel served his country in the US Special Forces from 1965 to 1971. He went on to serve the city of Birmingham for 27 years as a police officer. From there he went on to serve the city of Leeds for 20 years as a police office.
Colonel was known for his love of the outdoors, hunting and serving people. He was a devoted husband to his wife Norma for 50 years. Colonel is survived by his wife Norma, sons Jason (Melanie), Shannon (Crissy) and Eddie (Sherry). He is also survived by his grandchildren Zachary, Andrew, Sheyanne, Perry, Seth, Peyton and Stacie Grace. Colonel was preceded in death of his parents Colonel E. Martin, Sr. and Lula Mae Martin.
A Memorial Service will be held at Rideout’s Funeral Room in Trussville, Alabama on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00am with a graveside ceremony to be followed at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, Alabama.
