Charlie Mack Fondren, age 79, passed away August 14, 2016 after a long battle of pulmonary fibrosis. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur and Margaret Belle Fondren of Birmingham Al; three brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judith Saunders Fondren; his daughter, Kelly Denise Fondren; grandsons, Jackson Waller and Austin Waller; special niece and nephew, Bill Godwin and Barbara Truitt and a host of nieces and nephews. He attended Auburn University and retired from Bishop Advertising Sign after 50 plus years. He was a member of South Roebuck Baptist Church since 1977 and served as deacon since 1984.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation, with Dr. Gary Fisher officiating. Interment follows at Elmwood Cemetery.
