Carrie, also known as Nanny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was born in Cullman, Alabama on December 12th, 1933, and she attended Phillips High School in Birmingham. She eventually worked as a hospice sitter where she deeply cared for her patients. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting and learning about jewelry and gemstones. She greatly enjoyed sharing her knowledge about them and often gifted her family and friends with jewelry. The only thing she loved more than her jewelry was her family. Carrie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and she will be greatly missed and remembered forever. A visitation will be held at Ridout's Trussville Chapel on Saturday, July 9th at 10:00 am and service will start at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Gibson Hill Cemetery in Fayette, Alabama.
