BARBOUR CARMEL, age 97, passed away peacefully while being read her favorite bible passages by her beloved caregiver. She was a devoted member of Rock United Methodist Church in Tarrant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Barbour; sons Jim and David Barbour; and her sisters, Lois Bostick, Bernice Mink Ware and Maxine Cutshall. She is survived by her granddaughters, Monica Barbour and Kristi Barbour Shahid (Ray); her most beloved great-granddaughter, Martha Maria Shahid; daughter-in-law, Martha Barbour; beloved and dearest family friend, Buddy Walker; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; and lastly her caregiver whom she considered a dear friend, Melrose Fowler. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 12:30-1:30 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. There will be a graveside service at Forest Crest Cemetery beginning at 2 PM.
