Burgin Layfield, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 13, 2015. Mr. Layfield was predeceased by his parents Chester and Zora Layfield; son Butch Layfield; grandson Zachary Miller; son-in-law Bobby Miller; and sister Lula Mae Pearson. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Inell Layfield; son Burgin Layfield, Jr. (Martha); daughters Kay Honeycutt (Jimmy), Rita Colley , and Rickie Miller; 11 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Mr. Layfield enjoyed gardening, fishing and wrestling. He was a member of Clay Baptist Church and loved his church family. He had a passion for life and his family. Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday March 15, 2015 from Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Mr. Layfield’s visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
