Billy Joe Hattaway, age 76, was born June 15, 1939. He lived his younger life in Sylacauga, Alabama during his school years. He married and moved to Huffman with his loving wife Joyce Hattaway. He is survived by his wife Joyce Hattaway; sister Betty Sue Alred of Jasper; six children; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
He retired from Jefferson County as Chief Personal Property Assessor for Jefferson County after 27 years of service.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
