Passed away peacefully October 9, 2024 with her family by her side. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Merv, daughters Beth Windsor, Dawn Wood(Del), Grandchildren: Ashley Windsor, April Milner(Blake), Garrett Windsor(Mara), Kristi Gray(Scott), Amanda Windsor. Great grandchildren: Hayden, Charlotte, Bennett, Evelyn, and Will. Her Brother, Fred Copeland and son Chris Copeland(Laramie), Nephew Shawn Copeland(Wendy), and Niece Kim Sherman. Preceded in death by her parents, Henry Olin Copeland II and Elsie Copeland, and Dave Walker(Son), and brother Lt. Col. Henry Olin Copeland III(Serena).In lieu of Flowers, the Family requests donations be made to the Birmingham Jewish Federation, Magic Moments for children, Vettes4Vets, or the Church of your choice. A graveside service for Bettie will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum, 600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211.
