Anne M. Moss

Anne M. Moss, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kenneth Moss, Sr.; parents, Edward "Pete" Mowry, Sr. and Mary "Minnie" Dibble Mowry; brothers, Edward Manigault Mowry, Jr. and Albert H. Mowry; sister, Jean Amade and daughter, Donna Leigh Moss. She is survived by her children, Deryl Anne Bowman, George Kenneth Moss, Jr., Carl Edward Moss and Karen Moss Wood; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She attended Orangeburg High School and played the snare drum in the marching band. She was a long time fitness instructor at Shades Valley YMCA. Anne was a member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church and was involved in the Homestead Sunday School and Love Ministry. In her pastime, she loved spending time with her family and coloring books. She was an avid Alabama fan and openly expressed it. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Briarwood Presbyterian Church with a Celebration of her Life to follow at 11 a.m. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
