Anita Ricketts, age 74 of Birmingham passed away Monday, September 18, 2023.
Anita was born in Munich Germany and immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of 6. She was a skilled and savvy entrepreneur and business woman in a wide variety of businesses including retail and real estate.
She was most proud of her role as a caregiver. Her skill and compassionate care brought comfort to many.
Anita was an active member of Saint Francis Xavier Church for over 30 years.
She is survived by her two sons and she was extremely proud of them both: Tony Ricketts and Christopher Ricketts and they will deeply miss her love and guidance.
She was also survived by the Lovoy Family and Blasingame Family and a host of friends and associates touching the lives of many. Her laughter and love will be missed.
Her Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time.
