Reginald “Skip” Collins, 62, passed away at his home on Monday, March 14, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Skip was 1 of 5 children born to the late Harry “Reg” and Jacqueline “Jackie” Collins.
Skip is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Colleen; sons Dan
(Erica) and Dustin (Veronica); one grandson Zachary; his loving dog Tucker; sisters Jody (Jeff) Chase and Danielle Collins Wood; brothers Scott (Jean) Collins and Chris (Jessica) Collins; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many great friends.
Skip was passionate, driven, and hardworking, building Tri-State Builders from the ground up to a successful business for over 35 years. Skip had a passion for airplanes from a young age, obtained his pilot’s license, and purchased his own airplane in 2005 allowing him the freedom and experience of a bird’s eye view at any time. He acquired many friends in the general aviation community along the way.
Notably, the pilots at Binghamton Regional Airport. With his free spirit, came a love for motorcycles as well. Most recently, riding his Harley allowed him to experience the beautiful sights and sounds the land has to offer.
Skip was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was soft spoken, kind, compassionate, diligent, and a highly respected boss.
Skip left an impression on all that will surely be missed.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Wm. R. Chase and Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 1-4pm with a memorial service to follow at 4pm.
