Cindy Gale Curl Howerton

Cindy Gale (Curl) Howerton 36, passed away on March 15, 2018 in Gilson, Illinois. Cindy was born on February 24, 1982 in Bradenton, Florida to the late Jayme Curl and Jenifer Huntley. Cindy was a sweet and loving daughter, sister and mother with the brightest smile and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved animals and the outdoors. She adopted every stray cat that came along. Cindy excelled at softball and gymnastics as a child. While in Florida, she was a Dental Assistant and attended school in Illinois to become a Dental Hygienist. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Jayme Curl and grandparents, Jack and Vi Curl. Survivors include her mother and step-father, Jenifer and Bruce Huntley of Beverly Hills, FL; step-mother, Cathy Curl of Bradenton, FL; sister, Cristin Carter of Holmes Beach, FL; daughters, Cadience Graham of Beverly Hills, FL and Ava Howerton of Monmouth, IL; niece, Cara Carter and nephew, Cash Carter both of Holmes Beach, FL; grandmother, Doris Wood of Palm Harbor, FL; aunts and uncles, Barbara and Larry Lowe of Wilson, AL. and Randy and Donna Sumler of Tampa, FL; aunt, Linda McDaniel of Odessa, FL; uncles, David Sumler and David Meuthing of Palm Harbor, FL; Robert Sumler of Land O Lakes, FL; Greg Sumler of Tampa, FL; and many cousins; Cindy’s friends, to whom we will always be grateful, Myron Baughman of Maquon, IL and Raymond Nelson of Gilson, IL. Cremation was handled by Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory in Galesburg, IL.

Memorial Gathering, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Cindy's Memorial Service of Remembrance to follow at 12 Noon at Fero Funeral Home, 5955 N. Lecanto Hwy., Beverly Hills, FL. Due to Cindy’s love of animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter or SPCA.
