Gone but never forgotten...we think of Barbara "Bobbie" often and our visits with her and Don in Florida. Days of future past...

I will always think of "Bobbie" especially at Christmas. She loved her miniature villages and took pride in taking me on a tour of her home with its unique, nostalgic decorations. Usually I would find a stuffed animal to add to her collection that would sing some holiday standard. She was a thoughtful neighbor and a dear friend who I will sorely miss! My deepest condolences to her husband, Don, niece, Joan and family!

We met Barbara (Bobbie) only once but it was a very nice occasion.  Don and I had been stationed together at Havre AFS in Montana in the early 1970's and had not seen each other in many, many years.  He and Bobbie and Shirley and I met at a restaurant and enjoyed a nice meal and interesting conversation.  Our most heartfelt condolences to Don and the family.

I first met Bobbie in the 80's when she was hired by KCPL for our staff support. She was a perfect fit for us. We (my wife and I) became very good friends with her and Don so much so that we spent time at their home having dinners and visits. When they moved to Florida it was a disappointment for us because my wife had very few friends due to her disease (she passed away from it January, 2020). She lamented many times how much she missed Bobbie. I'm sure everyone who met her have similar memories. Don and her were a perfect match.
Don has stayed in touch with me to this very day which is very rare after so long a time.

Our deepest condolences on Barbara’s passing. We will miss her dearly and regret being unable to visit over the last six years. Whereas she is now gone, we will find some solace in that she will live forever in or memories. Fond and joyful memories of better times  will persist forever.

Bobbie, you came into my life before I was even born. You were the best friend to my mom when she had no other friends in life. You shared  life with her your entire lives. You became my Aunt when you married my Uncle Don. You were a vibrant and funny woman. Mom loved getting your emails and was even more thrilled when opportunities to visit you came around.  To my uncle, you were his best friend. You two together were in perfect harmony to each other. You are truly going to be missed beyond explanation. No longer suffering, but up there being an Angel just as you were in this life. Say “Hi” to mom.
