Shawn Michael Shackelford

Shawn M. Shackelford, 27, of Warr Acres, OK passed away Friday morning in a car accident. He was born June 2, 1985, in Ada, OK, the son of Darrell W. Shackelford and Helen (Neal) LePointe. He is survived by his father Darrell W. Shackelford and step-mother Lu Shackelford-Warr Acres, step-father Richard LePointe-Yukon; 1 brother, Darrell G. Shackelford-OKC, 1 sister Kristyn LePointe-Yukon, 5 step-sisters, Maggie and Marla Sherwood of Warr Acres, Amanda Cardis-Washington State, Rechelle and Billie LePoint, Yukon, 1 step brother Joseph LePointe, Yukon and grandparents George & Nancy Musser, OKC-Orville & Olivia Neal, Cromwell, OK and girlfriend Jordan Botten. Shawn was preceded in death by his mother, Helen LePointe-Yukon, grandfather Jerry Shackelford of Wewoka, step-sister Heather Lyons, OKC. Shawn worked in several fields starting with lawn mowing to an alignment tech, then a vacuum cleaner salesman to a loan officer then an oil field rough neck, a Peterbilt body shop tech, comm. construction worker until starting his own spray foam insulation business, all the while learning and working with his Dad at various other trades, such as, auto mechanics, welding and building construction. He and his father had the same passion for old cars, trucks, camping, fishing and canoeing, but his greatest passion was helping other people with their needs before his own.
