Maxine Kapp, age 85, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 in Oklahoma City. She was born November 19, 1938 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Willis Herman and Ollie Marie (Raper) Barnes. Maxine attended Pleasant Grove Public Schools and after graduation went on to attend Draughn School of Business. Maxine had a long, rewarding life with her late husband, Phillip Kapp Jr., and her beloved son Melvin Kapp III. When Maxine met her husband she said, “it was love at first sight”. Maxine lived on N.W. 55th street, where she raised her son and enjoyed many hobbies like knitting, sewing, and gardening. Maxine's career was also productive. She worked for over 42 years in the automotive industry. Helping lay the groundwork for many past dealerships like Buck Morris Chevrolet, John Smicklas Chevrolet, and West Point Chrysler, Dodge, & Jeep. In getting to spend so much time with my aunt up till her last moments, I have learned just how loyal and caring Maxine Kapp was, and she will be dearly missed.
