Larry Burkett passed away September 19, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born December 26, 1942, to Ray and Ola Mae (Grimes) Burkett in Jefferson, NC. He came to Oklahoma City in 1978.
Larry was a paint contractor who loved to hunt and fish. Fall was his favorite season. He loved road trips and going back to North Carolina for Christmas. He met his wife, Mary Frances Barton at a friend’s birthday party in 1972.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Heather Burkett Pack; Lori and husband, Ken Street; and Melissa and husband, Dan Wheeler; brother Herbert and wife Abbey; sister Judy and husband, Pat Thornhill; brother Terry and wife Yolanda; along with three grandchildren, five nieces and nephews, and dozens of cousins.
