James “Jay” W. Lytle of Okla. City, passed away after a lengthy illness of Leukemia. He was 87 years of age. He was born to Walter and Birdie Lytle in Colorado, one of 5 children. All are deceased. He lived in Colorado most of his young life and was a used car dealer there. He later migrated to Oklahoma with wife Reba and one son, Jim. They had two other children, John, deceased, and Patricia.
He owned and operated the West Auto Salvage for a number of years. He loved to travel and his travels took him to Mexico, all of the USA, Canada and Nova Scotia. He then settled in Pharr, Texas for the winters. His wife died while in Pharr and later he married Mary Alice McAlister, a union that lasted 16 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lytle, his son Jim and wife Betty of Utah, daughter Pat Eades and husband Jim of Florida. Two Step Children Rick McAlister of Okla. City and Debbie Cowan husband Don of Yukon. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
