Tracy S. Mountjoy, husband of Rochelle E. Mountjoy of Grandview MO. passed away Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at Belton Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family and friends. The youngest of six brothers, Tracy was born August 5, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, he was the son of the late Frank M. and Joyce E. Mountjoy.
Mr. Mountjoy attended Grandview High School, and then served in the U.S. army reserves for eight years. Tracy primarily worked in the medical insurance field while also fulfilling his true passion as a devoted children and youth minister for over 20 years. In his spare time,Tracy was an avid fan of the local sports teams, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, and Mizzou Tigers with his two sons. He also loved surrounding himself with nature and spent many afternoons on hiking trails accompanied by his wife and two daughters.
He is survived by his wife Rochelle; sons Samuel and Isaiah; daughters Keren and Lydia; and his three brothers Randall, Rick, and Cary.
A visitation for Tracy will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Susquehanna Assembly of God, 622 N Jennings Rd, Independence, MO 64056, followed by a memorial service at 12:30 PM.
