Tim & Jenny,

So sorry to hear about the passing of your father.  My entire family especially my Grandfather loved your father.  I remember weekend dinners at the Jade House and my grandfather (Herman Polishuk) and you Dad would talk endlessly. 

Our family loved your father so much we even followed him to Kent when he opened his restaurant down there.  Your father touched a lot of lives and was a great man with a lot of passion for his family and friends.  He will be missed but never forgotton.

Timmy and Jennie,

	While the passing of your father is hard to reconcile, I want to share the great things your Dad did for me and my Brothers and undoubtably for everyone whoever worked for him.  I worked for your Dad for 8 years and my brothers; Mark 7 years and Paul 6 years.  Those 21 years of working for your Father put the entire Wentink family males through college. As you know we not only worked at the restaurant but also at both of the Mercer Island homes doing yard work and washing and waxing the family cars.  I helped build the swing set that you guys played on and I distinctly remember when Jennie arrive in America.  Your Mom and Dad treated us like family and we all loved working for your Dad as you can tell by the number of years, he employed us. He shared with us his stories of his first job as a dishwasher standing on a wooden box to reach the sink and coming to American as a young man, which for me grounded my belief that America is a land for anyone wanting to work hard and better their life and the lives of those they care for. Your Dad worked hard, help many people and had a great sense of humor.  My fondest memory was your Dad inviting some of the Chinese Elders over from China Town to his house while Mark, Paul and I were working in the yard at the new house and he was up on the porch pointing out how he has a bunch of Caucasian boys from Mercer Island doing his yard work!!!  I am sorry I cannot not attend the service due to my recovering from a broken femur, but know your Father was a great man and I feel lucky and honored to have worked for him.
