Passed away on May 15th, 2019 with her daughter and granddaughters by her side.
She was born July 18th, 1943 to Max Walker and Dorothy Jones in Ketchikan, AK. Her family moved to the Seattle area when Sheila and her older sister Sharon were young, where she then attended Ballard High School, married, and had four children.
Sheila was especially proud of her work as a part of an all-girl service station team in the late 1960s, and later as a glass artist and manager at a decorative mirror company. At the same time, she was an avid bowler who played in leagues with her friends.
As a longtime resident of Bellevue, WA, she was an active member and volunteer at the YMCA, and even acted in a play with other senior members. Sheila easily made friends wherever she went and was always there to help others in need. She loved to bake for friends and family, and never missed an opportunity to celebrate with food. She spent many years babysitting and doting on her grandchildren, gardening around her apartment building, and staying active by taking walks in the park and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-Papa Stan Pearce, sisters Sharon Smith and Patricia Walker, two ex-husbands, and her long-time beloved furry companion, Shorty. She is survived by her daughter Ronda Henderson, sons Richard, Robert, and Randy Henderson, step-son Richard Young and family, sisters Barbara, Judie and Michelle, cousins, cherished nieces and nephews, granddaughters Cassandra and Shelby Mundt, grandsons Joshua, Robert, Jared, and Andrew Henderson, and great-grandsons Leland and Kolden Henderson.
We will all miss her laughter at almost anything we said.
