Maureen Genevieve Nendick

August 7, 1931 - July 6, 2021

Maureen Genevieve Nendick, 89, of Bonney Lake, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2021, with family by her side.

Maureen was born to parents George & Genevieve Benson on August 7, 1931 in Seattle, WA. She lived most of her life throughout The Greater Puget Sound and Eastern Washington.

Maureen was preceded in death by her parents George & Genevieve Benson; her husband Harold (Hal) Nendick; her brothers Irving (Alice) & George; her daughters Vicki (Steve) & Pam (David Hoggan & John Oberdorf); grandson Dustin & granddaughter Madeline (Maddy).

She is survived by her children, Tom (Steve), Rita (Jeff), Kathy (Earl) & Moose (Beth). Her grandchildren; Davia, Jaime, Michael, Nicki, Ryan, Ashley, Kyle, Shelby, Anthony & Chloe. Great grandchildren; Madison, Matthew, Taylor, Avery, Kinsley & Rayden.

Maureen was an accomplished Tap & Ballet dancer who studied at The School of Dance in Seattle, Washington. She was a Shirley Temple look-alike and modeled her clothing line at Rottles Department Store. Maureen attended Holy Names Academy in Seattle, Washington. She was a Catechism principal at St. Louise Church in Bellevue, Washington. She was a volunteer on the Mother-Baby Unit at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington for many years.

Maureen was a loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a second mother to many of her children's friends who found comfort, lodging and always a great meal on the table! She enjoyed dancing, bowling, movies, camping, traveling, her kids soccer & hockey games, her grandchildrens’ baseball, football, fast pitch softball games, martini's and her Best Friend Dorothy Kontos. Maureen had a love for music especially Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow and Elton John. She was an Amazing Cook and catered all her childrens weddings and parties. She loved to decorate for all the holidays but Christmas was her favorite. She handmade all the family Christmas Stockings and with each new addition came yet another Christmas Stocking. Maureen was her happiest when all the extended family were together.

Graveside Service for Maureen will take place on Wednesday, July 28th at Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Bellevue, at 12:00pm.
