Julie was born 1916 in Detroit, Michigan. She started school in Naples, Italy before returning to the Seattle area where she graduated from Garfield High School. She was married to Dick Williams also of Seattle. They lived most of their 65 married years on the shores of Lake Washington in the Juanita area while raising their 3 sons.
Julie was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and a good friend of her many neighbors in the Denny Park area. Julie was very active in the PTA of which she was president for many years. She also was very active in Children’s Hospital. Julie loved the arts and was an avid ballet dancer in her earlier years as well as a talented piano player. Later in life she continued her dancing with her beloved husband Dick. They belonged to many dance clubs and spent many years entertaining on cruise ships.
Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brown Williams (Dick), and her oldest son Richard Forbes Williams. She is survived by her Sister Gloria Welch, sons Don Williams (Kari), Tim Williams (Janet), eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family expresses special thanks to the many caregivers at the Kirkland Lodge and Cascade Vista.
A memorial service and celebration of Julie’s life will be held at St. Louise Church in Bellevue on April 27th at 10:00 a.m. Friends are invited to view photos and share memories in the family’s on-line guest book at www.sunsethillsfuneralhome.com, Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
