Jean grew up in Bellevue, graduating from Interlake High School where her love of horticulture started. She established Ms. Jean's Greens in the 80's, a commercial interior plant business she ran solely for decades before her retirement. Outside of her love for plants, Jean was a ski instructor at Bellevue Ski School and Husky Winter Sports, as well as an avid golfer.
Along with her husband John, she is survived by her daughter Brittany, and grandsons Liam and Nash. Her siblings Jan, twin John (Patti),Chris (Mike), Mary, Kelly (Maurice), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Dorothy Hanson, sister-in-law Julie, niece Jill, and nephew Grady.
