Robert “Bob” Roth, 84, of Fairview Heights, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 13, 2019 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Katherine (nee Goebel) Roth and a son, Jeffrey Roth. Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nance (nee Mank) Roth; son, Scott (Rebecca) Roth and daughter, Dawn Roth (Cassy Hackworth); daughter-in-law, Linda Roth; grandchildren, Tiffany (Matt) Werner, Dustin Roth (Jessica Dover), Jared, Lucas, and Matthew Roth; great grandchildren, Riley, Mason, Tucker, Olivia, and Hunter; brothers, David (Mabel) Roth and Daniel (Linda) Roth; dear uncle, cousin, and friend.
Bob was a faithful member of St Peters United Church of Christ in Granite City. He worked hard to support his family and always put others’ needs ahead of his own. He was very proud of his family and he will be greatly missed.
Friends may visit on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon at Valhalla-Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home in Belleville. He will be laid to rest at the mausoleum at Valhalla Gardens of Memory. Memorials are appreciated to Heartland Hospice who provided loving care for Bob and the family in his final days.
