Wesley served his country honorably in the United States Army. He began his safety career in 1964 at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Burlington, Iowa. He went on to have a distinguished 35-year career with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Southern Illinois District 5. He loved his family more than anything. He always asked how everyone was. He was a man of few words, short stays, and quirky habits. He loved Hershey bars, Ding Dongs, and coffee. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to Fletcher’s to hang with the “boys.”
He was a loving husband, a very proud father, kindhearted grandfather, and a one-of-a-kind man overall. He will be missed, and heaven gained a beautiful soul.
