Michael “Mike” and his wife, Janet, were longtime members of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church and were heavily involved in the Worldwide Marriage Encounter, along with various other church ministries. Mike worked in construction, specializing in directional boring, for the majority of his career, but he began working young, and held countless jobs as a teenager, each building upon his skill set. He was incredibly handy and unselfish in sharing his talents with family and friends. Utilizing his creative outside the box thinking and his, sometimes unorthodox touch, he could fix just about anything. He was well known for making mass quantities of food and delicious baked goods (pie being his forté). He took solace in just sitting outdoors with a cheap cup of coffee. Mike enjoyed fishing, golfing, being active at his church and helping others, but above all else, he treasured spending time with his family. Being a “Pawpa” was his greatest honor and ultimate joy in the later part of his life. Simply, he was an incredibly giving, loving, and hardworking man who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 30 years, Janet A. (nee Rolen) Keck; his parents, William U. Keck and Doris J. (nee Randle) Keck; brother, Steve Keck; parents-in-law, Robert J. Rolen and Carol J. (nee Stammer) Rolen; and brothers-in-law, Robert Rolen, Matthew Rolen, and Larry Rolen.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Scott (Jaime) Keck and Emily (John) Dohle; grandchildren, Mabel Dohle and Henry Dohle; brothers, Bob (Pat) Keck and Dave (Chris) Keck; sister-in-law, Patty Keck; brothers-in-law, Michael Rolen, Christopher (Lisa) Rolen, Roger Rolen, Mark Rolen, and Jimmy (Penny Loehner) Rolen; plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
