She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman Dressel and Welma (Davis) St. Onge, grandparents, Lottie and Huey Davis, brother, Ted Dressel, daughter Jennifer Briggs, and son Brandon Boss.
Dena is survived by children, Jeremy (Rebecca) Boss of Springville, Indiana, daughter, Ashley (John James [Fiancé]) McRoberts of Millstadt, Illinois and son, Joshua (Jaszmine [Fiancé]) Shores of Belleville, Illinois. She is further survived by her sister, Lynn (Ralph) Morgan and two brothers Ed Dressel and Michael (Joann) Dressel.
Ms. Shores was a Deli Manager at Save-A-Lot in Belleville, IL before being diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH).
She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She loved being outside, taking walks around her property and reminiscing about the old days.
Common things Ms. Shores would say to friends and family alike:
“We'll just take it day by day”
“It is what it is”
“God will provide”
“....and things”
She was not only a Mother to five beautiful children, but also a grandmother, a friend, a mentor, and someone who had a love for Jesus Christ.
Ms. Shores will be forever missed, loved, but never forgotten. She is finally HOME and in no more pain.
Per her wishes Rites of Cremation have been accorded.
Graveside Service will be Friday, January 26th, 2024, at 11:00 am at Lake View Memorial Gardens, 5000 N. Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois, 62208.
