Dale was a retired meat cutter. He was a member of the Gothic Lodge 852, where he was the youngest worshipful master to serve the lodge in 1980. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Southern Illinois, Ainad Shrine-Krazy Klowns, Belleville Shrine Club, past president, recipient of Legion of Honor by DeMolay International, former member of Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad, former chief deputy coroner for St. Clair County, member of the Illinois Sheriff's Association, Fraternal Order of Police, Meat Cutters Locals 534 and Local 88, National Catholic Ministry of the Bereaved Commission, Volunteer Eye Enucleator for Mid America Transplant Services, Ancient Order of Hibernians, KC Council 6415, Cardinal Glennon 4th Degree Assembly, and Our Lady of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, House Springs, Mo., where he served as Eucharistic Minister.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Jane, nee Miesel, Robinson; a daughter, Jennifer Michelle Robinson; and brothers, David Robinson, Robert Robinson and John Robinson.
Surviving are his wife, Roseann Sanford Robinson whom he married on May 20, 1995; his sons, Joseph Jarzemkoski of O'Fallon, Mo., and Timothy Feller of St. Louis, Mo.; his daughter, Jill Erin Robinson of St. Louis, Mo.; other son and daughter, Robert Dicandia and Deanna Dicandia both of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Lauren Scheffer and Melanie Scheffer; brothers, Dennis W. (Marylee) Robinson of Elgin, S.C., Alfred "Tiger" (Gina) Robinson of Jerseyville, Ill., and Richard "Hooch" (Tina) Robinson of Troy, Ill.; and sisters, Linda Ann Robinson of Troy, Ill., and Carol Jane Robinson-Byrum of East St. Louis, Ill.
