Beverly Jean Haentzler (Wilkerson), 73, of Belleville, Illinois born October 27, 1950, in Belleville, Illinois, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 30, 2024, peacefully with her family by her side at Dammer Care Center in Belleville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marian Wilkerson, and niece Jamie Wiegand.
Beverly was a faithful wife of 50 years. She was selflessly devoted to her son and granddaughter. Her humor and selfless love will always be in our memory. Beverly went to Belleville Area College and finished her teaching degree at SIU in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Beverly landed her teaching job in 1973 at Pontiac William Holliday School District No. 105, where she retired after 40 years of service.
Beverly enjoyed becoming a teacher, coach, and conversing with former students about their accomplishments.
Surviving is her husband Steven, son Alex S. (Morgan) Haentzler, sister Nancy Hartmann as well as many nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
Memorials are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
