Betty grew up on the family farm just north of Ashley, Illinois. She and her husband, Langley A. Wade, were high school sweethearts. They married January 24, 1953 at the Methodist Church in Madison, Illinois. Betty worked as a secretary for various businesses before raising her family. She also worked at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows with her sister, Matilda Hoelscher, for a short time. She and Wade attended St. Augustine of Canterbury and St. Henry Catholic churches and made many friends at both parishes. Betty was devoted to caring for her family and her home. She enjoyed dancing, eating out, and traveling with Wade and her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Langley A. Wade, who died July 12, 2011; parents Ben and Anna, nee Krzyzanoski, Nadolski; her siblings Lorene (Paul) Wilkey, Josephine (Leo) Laders, Mary (James) Richardson, Paul (Lucille) Nadolski and Andrew (Helen) Nadolski.
Surviving are her children Joyce A. Dierkes and Mark Wade; grandchildren Jason (Angela) Dierkes, Jennifer (Ryan) Alstat, Julie (Clayton Staff) Smith, Mark Wade Jr. and Andrew “AJ” Wade; great-grandchildren Lauren (Patrick) King, Joel Engbert, Katelyn Alstat, Korven Smith, Sophia Smith, Margaret Alstat and Marshall Staff; great-great granddaughter Kinsley; sisters Adeline Nadolski, Matilda (Verle) Hoelscher; and Rozella Nadolski; and sisters-in-law Lucille Nadolski and Doris Nadolski.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. Augustine of Canterbury’s food pantry or another food pantry of their choosing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth York presiding. Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
