He was born on October 18,1952 to Bernard and Patricia Wessel of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from St. Pius High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Rusty was an entrepreneur his entire life, most recently as a homebuilder, construction manager and insurance agent. He loved time with family, the outdoors, fishing, playing cards with friends, racing homing pigeons, and especially spending time with his granddaughter Mackenzie.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, stepsons, Brandon Belt, Brian Belt and granddaughter, Mackenzie Belt. Brothers, David Wessel, Eric Wessel, Greg Wessel and the late Timothy Wessel. “A Life Well Lived”
