Ben was a loving and kind soul. He never met a stranger. He loved life and his family .He was very proud to have served in both the United States Navy and in the United States Army. He was a Great son, phenomenal brother, and a wonderful caring husband and father and grandfather.
Ben is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Theodore Mangrum.
Surviving are his loving wife and soul mate, Brenda, nee Hill, Mangrum; children, Wayne (Joyce Hefner) Schlichter, Aliesha (Paul) Rust, Cindy (Rcih) Breakfield, Tracy Rentz and Jamie Lehmkuhl; grandchildren, Thomas Jacks, Seth Lehmkulh, Tristyn Lehmkuhl, Colin Valerious, Ava Rust, Emily Rust, Noah Rust and Brianna Lehmkuhl; mother, Catherine Lucille, nee McDaniel, Mangrum; brothers and sisters, Pam Mangrum, Candy (Gary) Hoolihan, Shelly Mangrum, Nikki (Rob) Waterson, Laurie (Ralf) Schlaefli, Joe Mangrum, Mike Mangrum and Rick (Michelle) Mangrum. 26 nieces and nephews and 19 great nieces and nephews, special great nieces Heather and Tabby Boss, Also, survived by a host of other relatives family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 PM
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the funeral home
Interment will be held following services in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri
Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
