Audrey worked at the St. Clair County Court House and retired from the City of Belleville, she was a secretary to the president of Orban Stove Co. and a NA at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish. She was a past member of the Mother’s Club of St. Mary’s Grade School. Audrey loved to go camping . She always loved going to the movies from an early age as a child and then in later years with her grandchildren. She attended her grandchildren’s school functions, especially when her two oldest grandchildren were in the high school marching band. When Belleville Township High School West Marching Maroons Band went to the Orange Bowl Parade, she went along. Audrey had dogs all of her life. She was especially fond of the Pekingese breed. Her first Pek was given to her as a birthday gift BY Ormond, her husband. After that she was hooked and always had a Pek in the house.
Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, Ormond Jackson who passed away on April 12, 1986 and who she married on May 8, 1951 in the rectory of St. Peters Cathedral; parents, Charles and Drusilla, nee Neighbors, Bruss and her mother In Law, Laura Frazier.
Surviving are her loving family, daughters, Karen (John) Fieker of Belleville, Illinois, Elaine (Mark) Turner of Dumas, Texas; grandchildren, Johnny Fieker, Jr., of Swansea, Illinois, Rachel (John) Eversole of Belleville, Illinois, Andrew Fieker of Belleville, Illinois, Daniel Barwick of Chicago, Illinois and Amanda Barwick of Belleville, Illinois; great grand children, John and Paige Eversole; step great grandchild, Meagan Eversole and Pixie her beloved Pekingese.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, with a prayer services being held at 5:30 pm. at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, Illinois with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating.
Interment will be held in Walnut Hill Cemetery,
Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
