In his own words: “Alien Anderson has finally died. Allen Andersen has died. A few will mourn. Many will celebrate. Unrelenting, agonizing pain. From chemo treatment. At times the worst pain of his life. Alien was a scuba instructor. Trained hundreds of divers. Served 30 years active-duty military. Hungry most of the 30 years. Alien was commonly called to fix the most difficult issue. Humbly, he was very good. When you are 70, if you make it that long, and you look back on your life, everything you see will be perfect. You were a perfect parent. An ideal employee. Never hurt a single soul. A perfect life. Other than war, Alien never intentionally hurt anyone.”
Allen was a master sergeant in the US Air Force. He was a communication and navigations specialist and a computer systems supervisor. He retired from the Air Force after 30 years of dedicated service from which he received several commendations. Allen was a talented luthier and a gifted musician and vocalist. He was also an accomplished master diver. Allen was a skilled, intelligent and witty man who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his sisters, Kristeen (Pete) Sherman, Cheryl (Floyd) Barton and Susan (Dennis) Smith; brother, Evan Andersen; girlfriend, Diana Morgan, and his beloved Pomeranian, Roxy.
There are no services scheduled. Allen will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
