Richard Garrett Brannon, age 85, passed away July 25, 2016. He served in the US Army as Corporal. For many years, he was a familiar face at the Houston Federal Courthouse where he operated the Federal Building cafeteria for the Texas Commission for the Blind. Even though Garry had limited sight, he recognized customers by their voices and always had a friendly smile and a great attitude. Garry was a loving father and husband. He will be missed by family and friends.
Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. Brannon and Ruth Allen Brannon; sister, Evelyn Brannon Robinson and husband Bill; and son, Mike Mahoney. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Carter Brannon; daughter, Teresa Alesi and husband Mike; sons, Rick Mahoney and wife Jaye, and Roger Mahoney and wife Georgina; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 29, 2016 with a visitation beginning at 12:00 noon, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery, Pearland, TX.
