Doris A. Hurst

Doris was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Bellaire, Texas since 1965, exemplifying her deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ. She devoted her professional life to the American Snuff Company for 30 years and later to National Cash Register (NCR) for over two decades before retiring. Her commitment to spiritual growth was evident in her 30 years of participation in Bible Study Fellowship at Westbury Baptist.

Known for her love of family and friends, Doris filled her life with joyous moments with those she held dear, creating a legacy of warmth and kindness.

Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, JC Hurst; her parents, Johnny and Lucille Archibald; brothers, Ed, Larry, Ray, Hollis, and Jimmy Archibald; and grandson, Tanner Hurst.

She leaves behind a loving family: sons, Jerry Hurst and his wife Jeannine of Houston, TX, Joel Hurst and his wife Donna of Conroe, TX; grandchildren, Jill Peschel (Barkley) of Sugar Land, TX; Jeffrey Hurst (Renae) of Austin, TX; Tiffany Kilgore (Curtis) of Cypress, TX; Jody Hurst (Cara) of Conroe, TX; and Dustin Hurst (Kali) of Montgomery, TX.; and cherished great-grandchildren, Caden, Gracie, Bella, Weston, Kendal, Baylee, Brody, Trace, Grant, Jake, Jaeger, Gentry, and Lawson.

Join us in celebrating Doris's life at her funeral on Saturday, December 30 at 1:30 PM at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, TX 77401, followed by the burial at 3:30 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy., Houston, TX.

Doris's life was a testament to her faith, love, and dedication. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
