Carol Lynn Richardson Brown went home to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on June 11th, 2024. By her own wishes, she wanted to die in her own bed. That wish was granted as she was able to be home surrounded by her two cats, her loving husband of 28 years, her step-son Ronald David, and his daughter Ainsley.
Carol Lynn was born on January 2nd, 1944 in Big Springs Texas at the army Air Corps Base that her father Lt. Harry L. Richardson was assigned to for Bombardier training. Lynn’s father was assigned overseas to Italy. From there he flew 33 missions over Germany and the Pulisty Oil Fields. He returned home to finish his service to our country. The family again moved back to Houston. Carol Lynn would complete elementary school, middle school, and attend San Jacinto High School for the first year. When her family moved to the Westbury subdivision, she completed high school at Bellaire High School. She next would complete a business school program, and take her first job at Shell Oil, working in the mail room. One year later, she was offered a job at Xerox, where she would devote the next 36 years. Carol Lynn worked in customer relations, sales, training, and equipment operations. She received many awards and recognition for her efforts as a manager in each of the departments.
Carol Lynn’s hobbies and life passions revolved around three major areas: her devotion to her husband Ron, who she affectionately referred to as “The Major”, her love for her cats, her love for gardening, which both she and The Major shared. Carol Lynn was known throughout her life for her strong moral beliefs, devotion to those she worked with, and her love of animals, especially cats and “The Major”.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Evelyn Richardson, and her father Harry L. Richardson. She is survived by her spouse Ronald A. Brown, her step-son Ronald Brown, and his daughter Ainsley, her step-son Jeff Brown, and his wife Chris Brown, and their children Zoe and Isaac.
A graveside service for Carol will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
