Thomas Blaine Raynor, 79, of Fallston, Maryland passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. In the days prior to beginning eternal life, he was comforted by the visits, love, and prayers of many relatives and friends. Blaine was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on May 17, 1943 to the late Donald Raynor and Irene (Hines) Raynor.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lee (Uhrin) Raynor. They would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on October 2, 2022. He was the devoted father of Maureen (Raynor) Ensor-Rinehart and husband, Robert Rinehart and Barbara (Raynor) Mowery and husband, Brian Mowery. Known as Pop-Pop, he was the proud grandfather of Kayla O’Connor, Bradley Ensor, Emily O’Connor, Lucas Ensor, Daniel Ensor, Hannah Rinehart and Ethan Rinehart. He is also survived by brother, Terrence Raynor and the late Donald Raynor, Charles Raynor, Gregory Raynor, and Genesta (Raynor) Bornman. Additionally, by many sisters/brothers in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Blaine grew up in Middle River and graduated from Kenwood High School in 1961. He served in the Maryland Army National Guard from 1964-1970 achieving Staff Sergeant. He was a dedicated employee of Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point where he worked for 35 years as an electrician in the Plate Mill Electrical Department, retiring in 1999. Many of his co-workers there called him Tom. After retiring, he worked for the Baltimore County Public Library Maintenance Department until 2007.
His retirement years were spent with his wife, Mary Lee, in Stewartstown, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed time with family, friends, and his grandchildren, traveling, exploring nature, and volunteering in the community with the Stewartstown Lions Club.
Blaine was a friend and handyman to everyone. He will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014 on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 3:00PM to 5 :00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM. A visitation will also take place Monday, September 12, 2022 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, PA 17349 where a funeral mass will begin at 12:00PM. Interment immediately following.
