Mary Elizabeth Litishin

Mary Elizabeth Litishin, 75, of Fallston, MD died on April 14th at Long View Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. Beloved wife of the late Edward Michael Litishin for 50 years, Mary was known and loved by family and friends as “Scottie.” She was born on June 28, 1946 in West Chester, PA to the late Richard and Elizabeth Scott. Devoted mother of Jeffery Litishin and his wife Krista McGhee of Mt. Washington, MA and Karen Reddel and her husband Drew of Fallston, MD. Survived by 4 grandchildren (Mac, Devin, Ruby, and Wyatt) and her brothers Richard Scott (and family) and Gerald Scott. Mary was preceded in death by her brothers Denis Scott and Charles Scott.

Mary graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown, PA. She worked various administrative jobs while the kids went through school, eventually becoming office manager for a trucking company in PA for many years. While Mary enjoyed the outdoors with Ed and the kids on the weekends camping and fishing, she also was a talented stained-glass artist, spending many hours in her home studio and at local craft shows, putting the kids to work. After enjoying a few years of retirement in the mountains of central PA, Mary and her husband moved to Bel Air, MD in 2008 to be close to grandchildren.

A private Remembrance will be held for family and close friends of Mary and the family at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014 on Saturday, May 14th between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Condolences may be left for the family at www.schimunekfuneralhomes.com.
