 Our condolences go out to all of Kevin's family & friends. Unfortunately I hadn't been able to hook up with Kevin in way too many years but always enjoyed any time we were able. I was very shocked of hearing about Kevin passing & disappointed in myself for allowing time to pass without staying in communication with him & others. I know for sure that he in Heaven with Matthew. From the entire McGee family & his Advo Print/Midcoast Press family we hold onto many cherished memories of our time together as fellow workers/friends & express our deepest sympathy with entire family. The BAHS class of 1980 sends condolences to family of our friend & classmate,Kevin Rutherford. He was quite the character and he will be greatly missed.

Kevin I have so many wonderful memories of you over the years but I’ll always remember how you made me feel after Jimmy passed away.  You always listened to every word and then offered advice and your perspective was always encouraging.  I loved all our nights hanging out, listening to music and you teasing mostly Terri and Jan!   I know Matt was waiting for you and then I hope Jimmy had a cold beer waiting for you!  Enjoy watching the Ravens and Terps games together!  This is one of our last nights out doing the Ravens Roost Bar Crawl for Toys for Tots!     Until we meet again’. 

Kevin was truly my first best friend in my adult life.  He just had a way to make you feel comfortable when around him.  Everything you did with him was just more fun because he was a part of it.   I wish I would of had time to just hang with him again just like when we were young but sadly we won't get that opportunity.  The memories though will never be forgotten.   

Kevin was such a genuine, kind person who such a positive effect on everyone who had the pleasure of speaking with him. Gone way too soon and dearly missed.

Donna and I were deeply saddened about hearing the passing of Kevin. Most of our memories came when we were younger growing up in Bel Air bowl. We would hang out a lot after the alley was closed being allowed to open bowl. There were even thanksgiving mornings when a lot of us would meet up at a ball field to play tackle football, then going home to have our family meals and meeting back up at bowling that night to bowl a few games, all we’re in pain, but very fun. 
Sorry we did not keep in touch as much, but was able to bowl in the same men’s league for quite awhile. Rest in pease Kevin, we’ll miss you. A lot of good memories.

Kevin was such a great friend for many years. So many happy memories, bowling, golf, Oriole games and of course a few beers.
Being with Kevin you knew was going to be a fun time. He was always positive, always nothing but good things to say about everyone.

To Kevin’s family, I am so very sorry for your loss. We are all grieving with you.

When I think of Kevin, the absolute number one thing that comes to mind is that if you ever spoke with Kevin, he had a way of making you and what you were saying the most important thing in the world at that moment. He listened intently and gave you his undivided attention. It was truly a great gift and it is no real surprise that he was able to build so many long, lasting friendships.

Many of us got to know Kevin through golf. Golf is a social game and it requires trust and integrity. He excelled in all these categories. He unselfishly gave his time to organize many events with our group and did this year after year. No matter the obstacles, he effortlessly made things happen and did it in a way that was truly admirable. He very clearly cared about the happiness and well-being of others.

When Kevin lost his son, Matt, that was another life lesson he gave me on resiliency and perseverance in the face of a loss that is impossible for me to comprehend, let alone endure. I can only look back at Kevin during this heartbreaking time with complete awe, amazement, and admiration.

Thanks for all the great memories buddy. Your friendship will be missed and you have left a legacy and impact on others that will never be forgotten.

and his positive attitude on life.
I first met Kevin at UMBC on the baseball team some 40 years
ago. He was then a positive individual on the way he saw things
in life.
Then fast forward we met through Jen 30 years later and it
was like we never missed those years, talking  about the old
times.

My family and I are stunned to learn of the passing of Kevin. 
Our sincere condolences to the family. 
My family and I first became friends with Kevin at Half Pints Pub. A favorite watering hole and home of our fantasy football league. 
Kevin was a wonderful and friendly person who will surely be missed. 
We will keep Kevin and the family in our thoughts and prayers.

We are all so very sorry for the loss of such a wonderful human being! Kevin was kind and funny and fun!
