Age 71 of Aberdeen, MD died on Wed. December 11th at the University of MD-Shock Trauma.
Born November 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Roy Ellsworth and Mabel Josephine Hoffmaster Lowman of New Windsor, MD and wife of the late Joseph A. Wheeler Sr.
She grew up in Brownsville, MD, graduated from Boonsboro H.S. and was a member of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.
She was an Army Wife for over 25 years, lived in several different states including Europe. She most recently worked as a Caregiver for Synergy HomeCare in Bel Air.
Judy was a member of the Harford County USBC WBA for over 35 years. She currently holds a board position once served as the Dir. of the MD State WBA. She established the youth bowling program at the APG Bowling Center and was a Certified Bowling Coach. In 1996 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
She is survived by daughter Joan Wheeler-Felts and husband Jeffery of Abingdon, her son Joseph A. Wheeler Jr. and wife Angela of Aberdeen, and son Lowman Wheeler of Aberdeen. She was predeceased by her daughter Laurel Wheeler.
Also left behind are 9 grandchildren, Lindsay Nichols, Jamie Lagnese, Nicole Wheeler, Joseph ( Wheeler III, Lacey Wheeler Myers, Layne Felts, Jaelyn Felts, Lilliana Felts and Jacob Wheeler, and 2 great-grandchildren Rylan Nichols and Bryson Lagnese.
She is also survived by brothers, F. W. Lowman, of Summerville, S.C., and Dale L. Lowman, of New Windsor, MD along with many nieces and nephews.
