Jane Watkins

On October 14, 2022, Jane Marie Watkins (nee Barnes), passed away with her loving family by her side. Jane devoted her life to helping, supporting and loving anyone in need. She also had a true passion for coaching and developing young swimmers for local swim teams and loved every child as her own. Jane was the beloved wife of John W. Watkins; cherished daughter of Joan Ann Barnes and the late Paul Leroy Barnes; devoted mother of Elaina Stem, Bryan Watkins and wife Jamie, Brittany Krause and husband Alex, Jenalee Watkins; loving grandmother of Riley Stem, Aubrie Watkins, Nathaniel Krause, Sydney Watkins, and Maxwell Krause; dear sister of Douglas Barnes and wife Tracey, Lance Barnes, and Deborahlee Stobart; sister-in-law of Carrie and Chet Watkins and Kathy Jaecklein; aunt of Douglas Barnes, Jr., Trent Barnes, Kyle Watkins and Tyler Watkins. Also survived by many more loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd., Bel Air MD 21014, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m., with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis TN 38105.
