As a skilled electrician at Bethlehem Steel Corporation, George was known for his expertise and strong work ethic. More importantly, he was a devoted man of God, serving for many years as a deacon and exemplifying his faith through his kindness and generosity to others.
George was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Mary Lou and Virginia. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Rebecca Loewenstein, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they built a loving family that includes their children: Danny, James, Randy, and Jennifer. His legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren, David, James, Nicole, Scott, and Brayden, as well as seven cherished great-grandchildren.
George’s life was a testament to the values of family, faith, and service. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Viewing will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home, located at 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Additional viewing will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service will take place at 1:30 PM at Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1601 Taylor Ave, Parkville, MD 21234.
